The Church and Our Nation

Our history as a nation, is a history of divine providence. America was God’s idea and so was the Wisdom to create the government in which our country was originally founded. This was not just from mortal man, but by the Supreme Hand of God. We can look at the original intent of the framers of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and other documents and see within the Judeo-Christian Worldview woven through. The Bible being the chief inspiring agent to which these documents were formed.

The country has drifted a long way down the stream from the beginning; BUT with the great awakening happening in our country – restoration can happen. Our hope is to inspire action. God has given us a trust with our VOTE and with our involvement. But it all starts with knowledge!

The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” We must teach the people the truth. What does our Constitution say?

• From the Bible - Explore the origins of history, law, and government;
• From stories - Look at history through the eyes of our Founders and the use of primary source materials. Discover true original intent.
• From the Constitution - Extrapolate and apply the principles from the U. S. Constitution to modern-day issues of freedom and liberty.

Each class is approximately 90 minutes and includes a video lecture, group review and discussion questions. Video instructor, Jake MacAulay, has taught nationwide at churches, schools and community groups. He is an ordained minister, former co-host of the syndicated talk show, The Sons of Liberty, and current CEO of the IOTC. Group discussion will be led afterwards to deepen the learning experience.
