Rachel Howarton

Executive Assistant to the Pastors / Director of Alive Media Network

Rachel Howarton is the wife of Alex Howarton, the associate  pastor at Church Alive. She works as one, with her husband to head up the music and creative departments.
 
Rachel grew up singing and playing competitive soccer, with dreams of becoming a professional athlete. After getting offers from colleges for soccer, she turned them down to focus on the calling the Lord had for her in music ministry.
 
While attending community college, Rachel interned at a local church-plant, serving directly under the worship pastor.
 
As that internship was coming to a close, she met her husband Alex. They married in 2012 and a year later were called to attend and serve at Church Alive.
 
Having spent many years working with youth, Rachel, like her husband Alex, has a desire to see the younger generations become like the first disciples of Jesus, loving others, and reaching the world in His name. Rachel has a passion for helping people come into the presence of God through worship. She believes that through the gifts of music and song people can have an intimate fellowship with God. It is her hope and passion to teach others to have a personal lifestyle of worship.
